Triple sec is a variety of a liqueur called Curaçao. The liqueur itself has an orange flavour to it, since it has been made from the dried peelings of both bitter and sweet oranges. Triple sec can quite easily be consumed on its own, but it is also a common ingredient in cocktails, such as the Margarita, Cosmopolitan, and White Lady.
