Brandy Alexander

They say, this cocktail was invented in 1922 in honour of the royal wedding. The British princess Maria was getting married with viscount Henry Lascelles. Maybe it is true, but then, who is Alexander? There is a version that is could be named after the Russian tsar, Alexander II. Let this remain a mystery. The cocktail has got its unique taste, although being quite strong it is deceivingly sweet, smooth, creamy and chocolaty. For the original version you are supposed to sprinkle nutmeg and chocolate on top of it but it is acceptable that you think of your own variations - it seems like a good idea to add some minced mint or cinnamon instead. Not to be confused with another popular cocktail called Panama - for preparing this one you will need White Creme De Cacao instead.
